Swap crypto

You send from your own wallet straight to the exchanger — nothing to connect, no account, and you stay on this page throughout. Rates are indicative until a swap is opened.

The swap is carried out by an independent exchanger and the deposit address above is theirs. mycoin.hk never holds, receives or controls your funds, has no key to that address, and earns a referral commission. Opening a swap sends your receiving address, IP, browser and timezone to the exchanger for their compliance checks; we store none of it. Check their terms, fees and country restrictions before sending anything.

Why My MetaMask Shows the Wrong Token Balance on Base

Your MetaMask is probably not broken, and the tokens are not lost. When a wallet shows the wrong token balance on Base, the cause is almost always a mismatch between what MetaMask thinks you hold and what the Base network actually says you hold. How to Read a Rollup Transaction on a Block Explorer

The short answer: you read a rollup transaction on a block explorer by understanding that most of what you see is a batch of compressed data posted to the L1 chain, not a line-by-line record of individual user actions. Why does my L2 airdrop claim transaction keep failing?

About mycoin.hk

The present mycoin.hk is an independent cryptocurrency information site focused on Layer 2 networks, cross-chain transfers and practical wallet safety. It is not the Hong Kong bitcoin investment platform that used this domain in 2014 and 2015, is not connected to that platform's operators, and does not continue any former investment programme.

The domain's history is disclosed because readers searching for the old MyCoin name should not have to guess whether the two sites are related. Facts.hk has assembled 30 documented facts about the MyCoin case from Hong Kong government records and contemporaneous reporting. The record distinguishes the widely reported HK$3 billion estimate from the HK$180 million attached to police reports by March 2015, and it distinguishes allegations and arrests from findings of guilt.

Everything else on this site concerns current cryptocurrency technology. Nothing here provides access to an old MyCoin account, recovers funds, or represents the former business.

How to convert crypto: on-chain vs off-chain

Off-chain (on an exchange)

Your trade happens inside the exchange's own ledger. Nothing touches the blockchain until you withdraw.

  • Cheapest and fastest for common pairs
  • Needs an account and usually ID verification
  • The exchange holds the coins until you withdraw them
  • Best for converting to and from cash

On-chain (a DEX or swap)

You swap from your own wallet. The transaction settles on the chain and you pay its fee.

  • No account, no custodian — you keep the keys
  • You pay network fees, which vary a lot by chain
  • Small or new tokens often only trade here
  • Slippage and thin liquidity are real costs on low-volume pairs
Before any on-chain swap: check the token's contract address against a block explorer, start with a small test amount, and review what you are approving — an unlimited token approval to an unknown contract is how most wallet drains actually happen.

Not financial advice. mycoin.hk publishes market data and general information about digital assets. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put in. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold, and we make no price predictions.

Prices are sourced from third parties and may be delayed or wrong. Verify anything you intend to act on against a primary source.
